Lori A. Garner

  Lori Ann (Caldwell-Shepard) Garner, 60, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on September 2, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center. 

  Born in Springfield, she was a daughter of Phillip Shepard and Earlean Caldwell.  Lori attended the former Springfield Technical High School and worked as a legal secretary.  A member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and the Willie Ross School, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and collecting ink pens. 

  Pre-deceased by two children, Jessie Garner and Tambra Garner, Lori is survived by her parents, three sons, Desmond Garner of Enfield, CT, and William Garner and Willie Garner, both of Springfield;  three daughters, Lashaunda Garner and Batika Garner, both of Springfield and Jasmine Garner of Florida;  four brothers, Phillip Shepard of Aurora, Colorado, Daryl Shepard of Arlington, Texas, and James Coppedge, and Darrell Coppedge, both of Springfield;  five sisters, Diane Jacobs, Beverly Echols, Faye Caldwell, and Lee Ware, all of Springfield and Angela Caldwell of South Hadley, Massachusetts;  16 grandchildren;  and a host of other relatives. 

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 11.
