LouEllen Gavin

  LouEllen (Hosey) Gavin of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2022, in Tyler.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen Hosey.  She loved music, cooking, and travel, with singing closest to her heart, she would sing whenever given the opportunity.  She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and a sports fan, especially football and basketball and could often be heard cheering on her favorite teams.  LouEllen loved her family, doing all she could to support them. 

 She was married to the late Andrew Gavin and birthed four children, Harold Gavin (deceased) Gerald Gavin of Springfield, MA, Gregory (and Kimberly) Gavin of Round Rock, Texas, and Andrea Wooten (and Dwight) of Murchison, Texas.  She left a strong legacy, having 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.  She was the last surviving of thirteen brothers and sisters.  Her memory will be cherished by all. 

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Christian Cathedral, 205 Eastern Avenue in Springfield, followed by funeral services at 11, with burial in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
