Luis Santiago, 89, a retired government security guard and 40 year resident of Springfield, MA; handyman, inventor and restorative artist was carried to heaven from his earthly home on Friday, October 15, 2021.
Beloved son of Eladio Santiago and Fernada Colon; born in Ponce, Puerto Rico; father of Luis Santiago, Norberto Santiago, and Jennie Santiago all of Springfield; brother of Jaime Santiago ( and Xisto) of New York, grandfather of 19, great-grandfather of 46 and great-great-grandfather of 8. Luis was predeceased by his son David Santiago and brothers Dionicio Santiago and Elijo Santiago.
Calling hours are Tuesday 6-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday 9-10:30 a.m. at Harrell Funeral Home followed at 11:00 a.m. by a liturgy of christian burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
