Marshall Powell

  Marshall Powell, 62, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

  Born in Marianna, Florida, he was a son of R.D. Brown and Sarah Lee Powell.  Marshall had been employed as a bricklayer by Kakley Trucking Company.

  Predeceased by his wife, Polly Josey Powell his father, R.D. Brown, a brother, Shawn Early, and a sister, Linda Powell, he is survived by his mother, Sarah Lee Powell;  a daughter, Ebony Powell;  two brothers, Gregory (and Rosemary) Brown and Derrick (and Mary) Brown;  two sisters, Sheila D. Powell and Melanie Brown;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2026, at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
