Marybelle (Baymon) Collins, 78, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on August 18, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Greenwood, Mississippi, she was a daughter of Booker T. Baymon and Ida Bell (Lockett) Baymon. Marybelle had been employed as a CNA at the former Spruce Manor/Cresent Hill Nursing Home. She was a long-time member of Macedonia Church Of God In Christ, where she served as the Hospitality Committee President, sang in the Wings Over Jordan Choir, and oversaw the operation of the Parish Kitchen.
Pre-deceased by a son, Corey Baymon; two brothers, Bishop James Brown and Willie Brown; four sisters, Flossie Sorrell, Bessie Crichlow, Ruby Elder, and Pearl Thomas; she is survived by her husband, Otis Collins Sr.; a son, Otis Collins Jr.; two daughters, Sharon Baymon-Henry Delinda Baymon-Dykes (and husband, Clarence Dykes Sr.); fourteen grandchildren, Lakeisha Wilson, Corey Baymon Jr., Desmond Henry Jr., Chelsea Baymon, Clarence Dykes, Dawayne Henry, Destanie Collins, Dana Henry, Quintin Dykes, Ayanna Smith, Tianna Smith, Noah Smith, Tyshaun Collins, Daejah Baymon-Powell; a god-daughter, Jeralyn Harris and grandson Stephan Grandison; twenty-one great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Macedonia Church Of God In Christ, followed by funeral services at 11, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
