Maurice LaWayne Young, 46, affectionately known as "Big Moe," of Yale Street, Springfield departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2020. Born and educated in Springfield, "Big Moe" remained a lifelong resident of this city. He was the son of the late Ricardo Mason and the late Margaret Ruth (Dolman) Lashkari. Predeceased by his parents and a brother Mark Morris Young (who passed away in 2018), he is survived by a son Maurice Young and daughter Tyluv Young both of Georgia, a step-daughter Teiasha "Deuce" Sharp, a sister Cynthia Dolman, a granddaughter McKenzie Young and step-grand-daughter Wynter, five nieces Shalunda Collins, Bernice Collins, Jamie Collins, Niesha Nicoli, and Asari Young; three nephews Mark Nicoli, Edward Caldwell and Amir Young; great-nieces and great-nephhews Kushawn, Shawn, Jurnee, Niomi, Jada, Roselynn and William; three godchildren S. Hillman, D. Hillman and B. Collins;many other extended family and friends to cherish his memories. Due to the Covid Pandemic, services will be held in the Spring at Oak Grove Cemetery .
