Milo Wade Thompson, 57, of Holyoke, MA, departed this life on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Born in Springfield, he was a son of Harold and Joane (Shaffer) Thompson. A 28-year resident of Holyoke, he formerly worked as a carpenter for Barclay Furniture Company. Milo had been a soccer player and refereed games in the Springfield schools and community. He accomplished a year of sobriety in his late life.
Pre-deceased by his parents and two brothers, Mark Thompson and Harold “Maurice” Thompson, he is survived by his beautiful wife of 33 years, Diana (Bibiloni) Thompson; two sons, Carlton Thompson and Calvin Thompson; a daughter, Christine Santiago; two brothers, Arnold “Keith” Thompson and Leon “Curtis” Shaffer; three grandchildren, Lyanna Thompson, Ezra Thompson, and Lilith Santiago; seven nieces and nephews who meant the world to him, Ashley Thompson, Danessa Maldonado, Louis Weatherbe, Samantha Thompson, Vanessa Maldonado, Anthony Martin, and Talyah Merceed; several aunts, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, other new and old faces of the family; and a host of friends.
The memorial wake is 10-11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 11.
