Myrtle Simmons Obituary

Myrtle Elizabeth Simmons, 86, departed this life on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing home.

A retired insurance adjuster, Myrtle was born in Williamsburg, Virginia to Sylvester Harold and Josephine V.W. Tyler. She is survived by siblings Phyllis Ely, Fred Harold (and Linda), DeSteffiona Goodwin (and Thais); a daughter Martha Peyton-Tyler, two grandsons Timothy J. Peyton, Edward L. Peyton III (and Tiana), and her son in law Lawrence Tyler. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings Shirley Mae Goodwin, Sylvester Harold Jr. and Rudolph J. Harold and her husband Myron James Simmons. Myrtle was interred at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Springfield North English Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses
