Nancy L. Tait

  Nancy Lucinda (Fullman) Tait, 90, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Monday, January 15, 2024, at her home.  Born in Camden, Delaware, she was the ninth and last surviving of nine children of the late William Fullman and Martha (Pinkette) Fullman.  Nancy resided in Springfield for nearly seventy years.  She was a dedicated member of Canaan Baptist Church Of Christ, where she was an Emeritus Deaconess.  She enjoyed helping seniors and playing basketball. 

  Pre-deceased by her husband, Walter R. Tait Sr. and a son, Walter R. Tait Jr., she is survived by five children, Jerry Tait of Boston, Massachusetts, Wayne Tait of Springfield, Clysteen Tait of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, Patricia Franklin of Bloomfield, Connecticut, and Jean Sterling of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;  a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren;  and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2024, at Canaan Baptist Church of Christ, 1430 Carew Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, followed by funeral services at 11.  Interment will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Agawam, at 2 p.m.
