Nickie Crosse Obituary

Nickie Fransica Crosse was born to her parents, Denise and Frances (Nicholas) Crosse, in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands.

At the age of 7, the family moved to Springfield, Massachusetts.  She attended local public schools, graduating from The High School of Commerce in 2012.  Nickie loved to joke and laugh about her past experiences even if they were sometimes negative.  During these years Nickie loved spending days and nights at her grandmother’s apartment and always spoke highly of her.  Nickie talked about how she enjoyed going shopping together with her granny.  After graduation she attended local community colleges in both MA and CT.  Nickie completed CNA training and earned her home health aide license.   She worked as a home health aide at an assisted living facility.  For years Nickie attended St. Mark’s C.M.E. Church with her father and Temple of Praise Church with her mother.  You are dearly missed Nickie, by your many family members and your friends.  We remember your sense of humor, you were effortlessly funny, exciting, and intelligent.  You were loving and a great motivator, a fashionista princess who had the creativity to make plain or unlikely looking clothing into a beautiful ensemble that was just your style.  We recognize and honor your strength, bravery, and your determination, and we love you.

Besides her parents and her children, Nickie is survived by two sisters, Nicole Crosse (her twin) and Denise Charles;  three brothers, David Crosse, Alfonso Crosse, and Jerome Crosse;  her aunts, Esther Jno Charles, Elizabeth Lewis, Lucia Nichols, Althea White, Yvette Crosse, Muriel Crosse, Rosie Nicholas, Debbie Mil, Sandra Crosse, Mayretta Crosse, Joycelyn Berry, Lela, Glenda, Nutilla, and Leslie;  her uncles, Arthur Crosse, Eugene Crosse, Clifford Crosse, Keith Leslie, Cardinal Leslie, Lincoln Leslie, Elvis Leslie, Toby Clendon Crosse, Timothy Nicholas, Lyndon Nicholas, and Solomon Nicholas;  her nephews, Joseph Crosse Jr., Dwight Hall, Rhoan McLeod, Jaden Clarke, and Brandon McDougal;  her nieces, Fiona Crosse, Aviyonce Crosse, and Jada Clarke;  and  numerous cousins from the Crosse Family, Nicholas Family, Millards Family, Nisbett Family, Leslies Family, and Berrys Family.

Private funeral services were held on Friday, August 16 at St Mark’s C.M.E. Church in Springfield, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in The Bronx, New York.
