Omar B. Branch

  Omar Bruce Branch, 49, of Bloomfield, CT, departed this life on Saturday, June 1, 2024. 

  Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was a son of Bruce Evans and Annetta Branch.  Omar resided in Springfield for most of his life and was a well known barber.

  Pre-deceased by his parents and a brother, Jackie L. Ligon Jr., he is survived by a sister, Lannetta Ligon (and C.J.) of Chicopee, Massachusetts;  a brother, Jozelle W. Ligon of Springfield;  his “Dad”, Jackie Ligon Sr. of Springfield;  an aunt, Lelette Branch of Springfield;  a sister-cousin, Gerelle McKoy of Douglasville, Georgia;  a cousin-brother, Marquis Branch of Bennington, Vermont;  a special friend, Chanda Branch of Springfield;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

The visitation is from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Christian Faith Baptist Church, 54 Bowdoin Street, Springfield, MA, followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m.
