Patrick David Elliott, 59, of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, departed this life on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, after a long illness at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Born in Springfield on March 12, 1964, he was a son of Malcolm Lassieter and Juanita (Stovall) Clark.
Patrick was educated in the Springfield Public School system and graduated from Putnam Vocational High School. He was employed at Providence Hospital and later retired from Lens Crafters, where he worked as an optical assistant. During his retirement he held various part-time jobs including at Springfield Technical Community College, DSW, and other small retails shops. Patrick was a faithful member of Canaan Baptist Church of Christ where he served on several ministries. Because of his strong love for music, he served in the Male Choir, The Men of Promise, Voices of Promise, and the Inspirational Praise Choir. He also spent some time worshipping in song with the Springfield Freedom Choir. He loved to cook and considered himself a grill master. Patrick was an avid fan of New England Sports including the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He was the biggest supporter and fan of his step-son’s high school football team and would always be on the sidelines watching, encouraging, and cheering him on.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Monika Johnson Elliott of Wilbraham; two stepsons, Damian Perry and Christopher Wilson, both of Wilbraham; a step-grandson, Kairo Perry of Wilbraham; a brother, Marcus Elliot of Springfield; three nephews, Jefferey Blackwood of Florida, and John Paul Blackwood and Quincy Elliott, both of Springfield; a niece, Miyah Elliott of Springfield; an uncle, Bobbie Stovall of Springfield; his best friend, Eric McGregor of Springfield; a special close cousin, Lacarria Brightwell; as well as a host of relatives, friends, and his church family.
