Ramon Enrique Luciano, Sr., 72, of Pelham St., Springfield, departed this life on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. Ramon was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of Gladys (Rosado) Luciano and Pedro Luciano. He moved to Springfield in 1972 and worked for the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority as a bus maintenance worker for several years. He was a terrific handyman and loved to fix things. Ramon was a member of the Church of Christ Pentacostal. Ramon leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife Maria (Rivera) Luciano; a son Jerry Luciano and two daughters Carmen Luciano and Virgin Luciano all of Springfield, MA; four brothers Hector Luciano of New York City, William Luciano, Geraldo Luciano and Jose Rosado all of Springfield; five sister Luz Luciano, Mildred Luciano, Gladys Luciano, and Jannett Rosado all of Springfield and Marisol Luciano of Holyoke; as well as 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, many other extended family members and friends. Sadly, his son Ramon E. Luciano Jr. predeceased him. There will be a calling hour from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at Harrell Funeral Home followed by a funeral at noon with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Due to covid-19 precautions, masks and social distancing are required.
