Robert Lee Perry, 51, transitioned peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Born in Springfield on January 25, 1971, Rob was a son of sabella Perry of Springfield, and Edward (Nick) Perry of Boston, Massachusetts.
Rob was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, friend, and was most known for being the best DJ hands down. Rob will forever be remembered by his close family and friends as the family DJ. There was no family function where you didn’t hear DJ HitmanMixx coming through the speakers. Rob had a very special and pure love for music that was inseparable and undeniable. Rob was also an amazing Chef. He loved food. Always cooking and trying out new restaurants with his fiance. Rob was a respected Chef where he worked at Bright Futures Learning Center for over 5 years. Rob had so many special talents and gifts. His artistry stretched far and wide. He cherished sharing his gifts with those he loved.
Robert is survived by his mother, Isabella Perry; his children, ShyReshia Thompson (Jai), Robert Perry Jr., Damian Perry, Adrian Perry, and Noah Holden; his siblings, Edward Perry (Tawana), Elder Anthony Dyer (Helen), and Ann Perry; is grandchildren, JeNayPerry, Kairo Perry, Lenox Perry, and Ace Perry; an aunt, Diane Dyer; an uncle, James Dyer; and his fiancé, Tracy Butler. Rob is survived by 8 nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, family, and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. Robert is predeceased by his father, Edward Perry; his grandparents, Annette Dyer and Zelnor Dyer; and an aunt, Yvonne Hicks.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Macedonia Church Of God In Christ. Harrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
