Ronald Maurice Carter, born on June 4, 1951, in Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on October 11, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
He was the fifth of eight children of Mabel Virginia Carter and Ralph Kenneth Carter. He was loved by his family of three sisters — Pamela (deceased), Deborah, and Ruth, and four brothers — Ralph Jr. (deceased), Richard, Robert, and Roy. A graduate of Putnam High School, where he studied off-set printing, Ron also proudly served his country during his time in the military. Ron’s love will remain with us always, as we hold him in our hearts and remember the quiet, gentle soul he was.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Friday at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 11, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
