Rose Tart Obituary

Rose Lee (Ford) Tart, 90, of Manhattan Street., passed away on February 18 , 2020 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.  Rose was born in Sampson County, NC the daughter of Daniel and Roseanne Ford.  They lived in North Carolina until 1969  when she relocated to Springfield.  She was known as the Mother of the Church and for her beautiful smile.  She found great joy in singing gospel songs, praising the Lord and her delicious baked chicken.  Predeceased by her parents, a son Larry Tart and daughter Helen Tart, she is survived by two sons Robert Tart Jr and Nathaniel Tart (Edna) both of Springfield; four daughters Mattie Williams of Agawam, MA, Eloise Tart and Eveline O'Neil both of Springfield and Linda Tart of Bradenton, FL; two brothers Connie Ford and Herman Ford both of Fayettevile, NC; We would like to acknowledge Sharon Tart,  and Eveline O'Neil for being her caretakers; her former sons-in-law Alex O'Neil and James Lewis; her daughters from another mother, Loretta Leeks, Diana Norfleet, Anita Jeffery and Rebecca Gaulin; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren for always loving her unconditionally.
