Rosella (Jackson) Sullivan, 81, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Born in Bloomingdale, Georgia, she was a daughter of General Jackson and Octavia (Haggary) Jackson and the widow of Oscar Sullivan Jr. Rosella had been employed as a dietician at Chapin Center and was a former member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Barry F. Sullivan, Estelle M. Brodie, Myra A. Davis and Gail Little; three sisters, Christine Bryant, Shirley Jernigan, and Geresia Seabrooks; eight grandchildren, Jason Brodie, Gianne Davis, Devon Maddox, Leticia Morris, Shanae Brodie, Ariel Dunmore, Lamar Sullivan, and Deonna Maddox; and nine great-grandchildren.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2023, at Gethsemane Church of Jesus Christ, 47 Harvey Street, Springfield followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
