Samuel Clifford McLaurin, 67, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Royal Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, In Wayland, MA.
Samuel, affectionately known as “Sam” or “Clifford” was born on March 30, 1954, in Holyoke, MA, to the late Samuel Alexander and Luerene McLaurin (Newsome). Samuel was predeceased by his sister Shirley McLaurin.
Samuel graduated from Springfield Technical Highschool in 1972. Samuel was a lover of the arts. He, himself was a very gifted artist and poet, often sharing those gifts with those he came in contact with.
Samuel leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Shana M. Lowery of West Hartford, CT; grandson, Kirk White, Jr. of Springfield, MA; granddaughter, Giovanna Brown of Springfield, MA; sister, Eva Tait (McLaurin) of Springfield, MA; two nieces, Janice McLaurin of Ware, MA and Nykia Tait of Charlotte, NC; three great-grandsons; six great-nephews; four great-nieces; and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service with family and close friends will be held at a later date.
