Sheila Murchison

  Shelia Murchison, 61, of Chesapeake Virginia, departed this life on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at Birchwood Park Rehab and Nursing home. She was born In Monroe Louisiana on January 21st, 1962 and was a member of Better Life C.O.G.I.C in Chesapeake, Virginia.  At the age of three, Sheila and her immediate family moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, where she was a graduate of Technical High school in 1979.  Sheila was an employee of Calloway (Spaulding) for 27 years and retired due to medical issues.

  Sheila enjoyed being a grandmother, eating out, being a part of her church's choir, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and especially shopping.  Pre-deceased by her parents, Ed and Eula Drummer, two sisters, Doris Fernadez, and Sandra Beam, her son, Corey Drummer, and her nephew and niece Shamond and Asia Drummer.  Sheila was a member of Better Life C.O.G.I.C, Chesapeake, Virginia.  She is survived by her husband, Robert Murchison Sr. of Chesapeake, Virgina, who shared 45 years union with, her sister, Lorriane Flowers of Springfield, Massachusetts, her children, Romesia, Nikita, and Robert Murchison (Bobby), and bonus child, Shalina, her grandchildren, Tyquan, Daniel, Zoe, Jermiah, Armani, and Aubriella.  She also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved immensely. 

The calling hour is 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, September 7, 2023, at New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C., 209 Quincy Street, Springfield, MA, followed by funeral services at noon.  Interment will be at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
