Shirley Kenny-Fisher Obituary

Shirley Mae Kenny-Fisher, 78, of Maple St., Springfield, MA, departed this life on February 4, 2018. Born in Lexington, VA, she was a daughter of Garland Long Sr. and Naomi Bannister. Shirley had been a Springfield resident since 1995, was employed as a machine operator for the Westfield newspaper, and was a member of the Christian Cathedral. Pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, Sidney Fisher, a daughter, Sharon Ingram, a brother, Raymond Kenny, and a sister, Ruth Morris, she is survived by a son, Daniel Kenny of Columbia, SC; a brother, Garland Long Jr. of Seattle, WA; four sisters, Bernadine Long-Carter of Clifton Forge, VA, Karen Long-Quander and Darlene Sanders, both of Temple Hills, MD, and Gussie Jordain of Charlotte, NC; 12 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. The calling hours are 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at Christian Cathedral, 205 Eastern Ave, followed by funeral services at 11, with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield. Harrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
