Toccara Denise Gaynor
September 3, 1982 – August 30, 2025

  Toccara Denise Gaynor, lovingly known as “Tee,” passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 42.  Born on September 3, 1982, in Springfield, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Julia Denise Wright, and she is survived by her biological father, Otis Lee Gaynor and by her bonus father, John Strickland, who lovingly raised her with love and devotion.

  Toccara was a proud graduate of Roger L. Putnam Vocational High School.  She dedicated over 20 years of her life to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Personal Care Assistant.  Her compassion, strength, and commitment touched the lives of many.

  She is survived by her two loving daughters, Danasia Gaynor and Taylasia Gaynor;  her cherished grandchildren, Royalty Witherspoon, Zion Witherspoon, and Amora Crowley.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Darcus Lowe.  She is survived by her sister, Porsha Collins;  brother, Tay’von Strickland;  bonus siblings, Johnathan Strickland and Jonte Strickland with whom she shared a close bond.  Toccara was also a proud aunt to her nieces, Tyana Collins-Lowe, Tra’mya Collins-Lowe, Trinity Caudle, and Isabella Strickland.  She leaves behind a host of other loving relatives and devoted friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on 33 Oak Street, Springfield, Ma 01109. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Toccara’s warmth, faith, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.  She is now resting in the arms of the Lord.
