Veronica Kelly

  Veronica N. Kelly, 62, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

   A lifelong resident of Springfield, she was a daughter of the late Israel Reid Sr. and the late Carrie (Jackson) Reid.  Veronica earned a bachelor’s degree in human services from Springfield College and served in various management roles.  She spent many years and shared children with her former husband, Rocky Kelly Sr.  Veronica also loved singing and watching classic movies.   

Pre-deceased by three brothers, Nathaniel White, Carl Jackson, and Joshua Reid, and a sister, Lillie Ponder, she is survived by two sons, Raheem S. (and wife Jasmine) Kelly-Reid and Rocky L. Kelly Jr.;  two daughters, Crystal C. Kelly-Reid and Zaria S. Kelly-Reid;  three brothers, Johnnie Jackson, Victor Jackson, and Israel Reid Jr.;  three grandchildren, Aumi, Mazi, and Kristofer;  a host of other relatives;  and many friends. 

The calling hour is 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Harrell Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at noon.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
