Willie A. Crapps

Willie Albert Crapps, Sr. , 76, of Springfield, Massachusetts went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2020.  He was born on Sunday, September 26, 1943 in Shellman, Georgia (Randolph County) to Mertha D. (Jenkins) Crapps and Jessie Crapps.  Willie attended Randolph County Schools in Shellman.  while in Georgia he met and married Glory (Brown) Crapps.  Thru-out his working career, he had been employed by Meredith of Springfield, Aims Packaging and several other places.  His parents Mertha and Jessie Crapps have predeceased him as well as six brothers Jessie Jr., Jimmy, Willie C., James A., Willie F., and Cedric Crapps and four sisters Louise, Corine, Elouise and Deloise Crapps; three sons Reginald, Gregory and Willie N. Crapps.  He is survived by his son Gary Crapps (and his wife Sabrina) and his daughters Pamela Vann (and husband Leonard) from Darien, Georgia; Ginger Hindle and Amber Stone both of Springfield, MA; three aunts Melvine Alexander, Vera Green of Albany, GA and Pearlie Mae Jenkins of Springfield; 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends to cherish his memories.  Services were private.
